Italianculture.ca

Italianculture.ca is the website for the Hamilton Dante Center for Italian Language and Culture. The Hamilton Dante Centre along with italian classes for elementary students offers summer credit courses for students in Italy. It is a phenomenal opportunity and I highly recommend the program. Take a look at the photo gallery and you will quickly see how successful the program is run. I am responsible for the management and creation of content for this website.

You can find me as the moderator and show host for the Parents as Partners Webcast at www.edtechtalk.com, a Collaborative Open Webcasting Community.
and a co host for the Live Conversations at Classroom 2.0 Classroom 2.0 is an online community of educators with over 46,000 members.
As a show host I am responsible for the program development, guest inservice, management of a virtual classroom (Elluminate) and web site maintenance. This is an example of a screencast developed to extend a live conversation session about feedreaders. Click for video. Requires Quicktime plugin.

Niagara Catholic Parent Program

As the project Facilitator my work involved meeting with parents and educators in the Niagara Catholic District School Board. In particular a focus group of the Niagara Catholic Regional School Council used this online discussion forum to develop and assist in the production of the following resources.

    An online training Video
    Dedicated Website
    Interactive online Handbook. Users could read through a pdf document to view interviews with parents describing best practices in involving parents.
